The outage on the Eastside of the Village street lamps was investigated and found to be severely damaged due to their location during the storm water system’s replacement. RIC Electric is currently putting together a plan of action to correct, and then a contractor will be hired to rewire the existing infrastructure.
On roads, tentatively, minor clean up items have been accomplished, and contractors plan to work on cleaning up inlets in a week. From there, environmental restoration can take place. We hope to be finished entirely by September 3rd.
Overall, the 2021 road project came in under budget, which is a success for all within the Village of Elmwood Park.
