The Elmwood Park community Christmas party will be held Sunday December 1. Bring a dish to pass, meet your neighbors and celebrate the holiday season!
Our community started having annual Christmas parties at Meadowbrook Country Club in 1957, even before we were an incorporated village. Apparently, the sense of community that brought on those first Christmas parties played a part in triggering becoming a village in the first place. “That same sense of community led to the desire for incorporation. In the late 1950′s a group of residents got together and formed a study committee to discuss becoming a village” (read more). So please, plan to be part of this continuing tradition.
